The National Examinations Council (NECO) has clarified that it is not currently recruiting and emphasized that any future recruitment will strictly follow due process and applicable laws, subject to Federal Government approval.
In a statement released on Wednesday, NECO’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Sani Azeez, urged the public to disregard a circulating online report claiming the Council is planning to hire new staff.
He stated that the Council’s attention was drawn to the false publication and reaffirmed NECO’s commitment to transparency and compliance with established procedures in all recruitment matters.
The statement advised members of the public to disregard the publication as it has no plan to recruit new staff, even as it
states that the publication is the product of the imagination of fraudsters who are out to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
It warned applicants and job seekers to be ware of fraudsters and criminals who may hide under the guise of recruitment to defraud them.
