Ned Nwoko, the senator for the Delta North Senatorial District, and his wife Regina Daniels have been involved in a heated social media word battle over their ongoing marital problems, which include accusations of drug usage and harassment.
Ned Nwoko said he paid for Sammy’s final two years at the University of Ekpoma, including the cost of musical equipment and an apartment in Abuja, and accused Daniels’ brother, Sammy, of harassing his kids and domestic workers.
Additionally, he disclosed that for the previous two years, he sent Regina’s mother an estimated ₦125 million.
He further alleged that Sammy introduced Regina to drugs and sabotaged her rehabilitation.
“In fact, Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who first introduced and supplied these drugs to her. They were deeply involved in the habit themselves, and rather than helping her get better, they kept drawing her back into the same destructive lifestyle,” he stated.
The senator claims that his attempts to aid Regina’s recuperation caused conflict with her family.
Ned Nwoko also described an altercation in which Sammy allegedly showed up at his house at four in the morning and demanded a face-to-face after being ordered to take his girlfriend out of the house.
Additionally, he refuted claims that anyone had been beaten, calling the video “a pure Nollywood scenario filmed in front of my house, in my absence” and claiming it was contrived to damage him.
Responding to Ned Nwoko’s claims on her verified Instagram page on Sunday morning, Regina acknowledged that she had used drugs in the past but rejecting her estranged husband’s accusations as fabricated, deceptive, and intended to damage her reputation.
She maintained that her drug use was not the cause of their marital problems.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this… and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.
She added, “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public, shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media — something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!”
The actress further accused Ned Nwoko of isolating her by targeting her friends and family.

“You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me… Then, when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you because I will have nowhere else to go,” she added.
She further alleged that Nwoko encouraged her drug use for his satisfaction.
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. You liked me that way because it made me wild and romantic exactly how you wanted me to be,” she wrote.
In addition, Daniels charged Ned Nwoko with medical manipulation, incarceration, and sexual assault. She said he confiscated her phones and made doctors give sedatives if she objected.
“You have never seen me act incoherent, stumble, or lose control,” she claimed, rejecting Nwoko’s accusations that her actions were illogical. Give up utilising the “drugs” narrative as a diversion. Be honest with people.
Lastly, Regina claimed that they were not legally married and claimed that her time with Ned Nwoko had cost her her best years and professional prospects.
This development comes after weeks of allegations about Daniels’ marital problems with her husband, whom she accused of domestic abuse in a prior social media post, as you may remember.
