Ex BBN housemate Neo Akpofure has threatened to sue a social media user over a rape allegation levelled against him on X . The reality TV star has demanded that the person tender a public apology and retraction of allegations within 48 hours or risk being sued for defamation.
In a letter dated February 18, 2026, signed by Chief Victor O. Idiapho for E.L. Akpofure, SAN & Co., the reality TV star’s lawyers described the allegation as “entirely false, malicious and defamatory,” warning that failure to comply with their demands would result in immediate legal proceedings without further notice.
The letter was addressed to Ms Arikan Udoka, who operates the X handle “the violently wicked (@notralia).” According to the lawyers, Udoka had posted on February 17, 2026, at 6:34 pm:
“@NeoAkpofure is also a rapist. He raped me in UNICAL. He should come out and deny it. We were casual sex buddies with the clause that he wasn’t in a relationship. I found out he was and went to his apartment to confront him. So he raped me. Neo come and say you didn’t do it.”
However, in recent development, the alleged defamatory post has since been taken down from the user’s X account.

Reacting to the post, Neo Akpofure’s solicitors argued that the publication itself acknowledged a prior consensual sexual relationship but went on to accuse him of rape, which they described as “an extremely grave criminal offence.”
The lawyers argued that the accusation presents their client as a criminal and a sexual offender, putting him at risk for “public disgrace, reputational harm, emotional distress, and serious personal and professional harm.”
They further stated that the post constitutes “actionable libel under Nigerian law” and exposes the user to significant civil liability and potential criminal sanctions.
