Mr. President made the claim in his statement marking the third anniversary of his administration on Friday.
He further noted ongoing military operations and security reforms have begun yielding results in certain regions, especially where troops have intensified operations against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal groups.
In addition, he assured Nigerians that the government would not relent until peace and stability are fully restored across the country.
He said, “We are improving the capabilities of our armed forces and reclaiming the authority of the Nigerian state wherever criminality threatens peace and order,” he said.
“While we continue to confront the challenges head-on, progress is being made. I want to assure you that this government will not relent until every Nigerian can live, work, travel, and dream in safety.”

Recall that Friday, May 29 marked Tinubu’s third year in office as President of Nigeria. He earlier reassured Nigerians that their sacrifices and endurance these past three years of sweeping economic reforms have not been in vain.

Similarly, on the subject of security, Minister of defence, Christopher Musa has scored the Tinubu administration 65 to 70 per cent on security performance.
He said security forces have drastically reduced terrorism, limiting it to isolated kidnapping incidents, even though a wave of school abductions across several states continues to challenge the country.
Meanwhile, terrorists behind the Oyo State school abduction have threatened to kill another victim if authorities fail to meet their demands.
