The Nigerian Army Recruitment- The Nigerian army has announced online registration for specially skilled men and women under its 92 Regular Recruits Intake (92RRI) Recruitment Exercise.
The Army said the registration portal will remain open from September 16 to October 21, 2026.
Boat operators, marine mechanics, mechanical and electrical engineers, and other technical apprentices can apply.
According to the Army, applicants must be Nigerian citizens and aged between 18 and 35 as of October 21, 2026. The Army also warned that the recruitment exercise is free and applicants should not pay anyone to secure enlistment.
According to a post on X detailing the Nigerian Army recruitment, it said interested applicants must meet the stipulated requirements and complete their registration within the designated period.
Qualified candidates have therefore been advised to complete their applications online before the October 21 deadline.
Backstory…
In July 2026, President Bola Tinubu approved the expansion of the Nigerian Army from eight to 12 divisions and authorised the recruitment of 28,000 additional personnel.
The expansion was presented as part of efforts to strengthen the military’s response to insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, communal violence and separatist unrest across different parts of the country.
The Army had also warned Nigerians earlier in September against a fake publication claiming that the 92RRI recruitment had already opened. At the time, it said it would announce the exercise through its official channels when the portal was formally opened.
The Army has since moved into different recruitment channels. Alongside its regular recruitment, it opened applications for Short Service Combatant Commission Course 50/2027 in August for graduates seeking commissioned-officer positions.
