Singer Niniola debunks rumours of secret marriage, says “I’m still single”

Popular Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has debunked widespread rumours of being secretly married.

There were previous rumours that the ‘Maradona’ crooner’s absence from the spotlight was due to  a secret marriage.

However, in an attempt to address the rumours, in a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Niniola clarified that she isn’t yet married.

She refuted the speculations that she was keeping her marriage secret for it not to affect her career or bookings.

The 38-year-old said, “I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married.”

When asked why she is was to collaborate with her younger sister, singer Teni Makanaki, Niniola said it has to happen at the right time and under the right circumstances.

She stressed that music is business, adding that there’s no family in business.
