Afro-fusion gospel artist Akinade Ibuoye AKA as Gaise Baba, popular for his hit sound track, “No turning back” has revealed his personal struggles with maintaining s3xual purity and overcoming pornography addiction.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Gaise Baba stated that he had encountered many difficulties in his path, even though he married as a virgin with his wife.
The “No Turning Back” singer claimed that at the age of 15, he was first introduced to pornography, which ultimately resulted in an addiction.

He went on to say that he had pledged to maintain his purity by making a covenant before to marriage however, this didn’t stop him from developing an addiction soon after.
He emphasised the value of self-awareness and accountability by admitting that any guy can make mistakes in the right situations.
“Yes, I married as a virgin. I and my wife. It took more time, sir, before we find the way. I was 15 when I started watching bad things. Now, there’s something you call covenant of purity. Something you come into to say, you’re not going to have s*x, you get married. I just scribble something. I sign it, go to meet the pastor. I’m like, my covenant of purity.
“In fact, it was shortly after that I got addicted to p0rn. I knew that under the right temperature and pressure any man can fall,” he said.
After its release in 2025, his popular song “No Turning Back,” which featured Lawrence Oyor, signalled a sea change in his career.

Additionally, he claimed that his ascent to popularity happened only two weeks after the death of his mother, at a time when he was no longer actively pursuing it.
“This season everybody’s talking about kicked off like two weeks after my mom passed. Fame came at a point that I was no longer looking for it”, he said.
