Elumelu’s 1000-seat auditorium for nursing college nears finishing

    The building of a 1000-seat auditorium and civic centre for the College of Nursing Science, Onicha-Uku, which was donated by the House of Representatives’ immediate former Minority Leader, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, is almost finished.

    In accordance with the terms of the contract, the project, which started on April 10, 2025, is anticipated to be completed.

    On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, a site visit showed considerable progress, with the plastering finished and the tiling, doors, windows, and suspended ceiling fixed.

    While the auditorium compound’s flooring and outer fencing are still being completed, electrical wiring and fittings have already been completed.

    There are eight restrooms, offices, locker rooms, and a water supply storage facility underneath in the theatre.

    The project will be finished in the allotted time, perhaps in two weeks, according to Chibuike Ofobuike, the project engineer.

    Additionally, by the third week of June, the project would be prepared for commissioning and transfer, according to Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.

    It is anticipated that the College of Nursing Science, Onicha-Uku, would host events and activities in a comfortable and contemporary setting thanks to the state-of-the-art auditorium.

    During the matriculation ceremony of the School of Nursing Sciences on April 8, 2025, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu announced the commencement of the construction of the 1,000-capacity auditorium and civic centre, which he generously donated to the school.

    At the event, he promised that the project would be completed within three months.
