The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has told the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he and his supporters are prepared should the group decide to challenge the case at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Nyesom Wike made the remark on Monday after his faction secured victory in nine appeals filed against them by the Turaki faction, which is backed by Seyi Makinde.
It will be recalled that the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday dismissed the appeal filed by the Turaki-led faction of the party.
It had reported that the Court also upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja which on October 31, 2025, restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from recognizing the outcome of the 2025 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Reacting, Nyesom Wike said, “Today’s judgement is an opportunity for PDP to reconcile, but if they decide to go to the Supreme Court, it won’t augur well for the party.
“If they insist on going to the Supreme Court, we’ll be ready for them. We won all nine appeals against them Today in court, and each comes with N2m cost totalling N18m against them.”
