OAUSTECH Opens 2026/2027 Postgraduate Admission Application

OAUSTECH Opens 2026/2027 Postgraduate Admission Application

Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, has announced the commencement of applications for postgraduate admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university made the announcement through its School of Postgraduate Studies, with eligible candidates invited to apply for its various postgraduate programmes. According to the official OAUSTECH announcement, the application form is available online at a fee of ₦20,000.

The development gives graduates and professionals looking to advance their education another opportunity to begin the next stage of their academic journey. For applicants who have been waiting for postgraduate admission openings, the announcement is especially timely as universities across Nigeria continue to open applications for the new academic session.

OAUSTECH is inviting prospective students to visit the School of Postgraduate Studies website to check the requirements for their preferred programme and obtain further information before beginning the application process.

The announcement was disclosed by the Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Isaac Olaniyan, during a visit to the university’s Directorate of Information, Protocol and Public Relations on August 19, 2026.

Programmes and application details

OAUSTECH’s postgraduate offering covers several levels of advanced study, giving prospective applicants options beyond the conventional master’s route. The university lists Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy/Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, professional master’s programmes, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in STEM Education among its postgraduate qualifications.

The institution also has professional programmes covering areas such as business administration, agribusiness management, public administration, environmental management and disaster risk management. Other postgraduate opportunities extend into science, technology and related disciplines, reflecting OAUSTECH’s focus on science and technology education.

Applicants should, however, avoid treating the admission exercise as a one-size-fits-all process. Entry conditions vary according to the programme and level of study. Some programmes require a relevant bachelor’s degree, while certain professional programmes may accept qualified HND holders or candidates with postgraduate qualifications and professional experience.

For applicants outside OAUSTECH, the university’s postgraduate information also highlights transcript requirements and referee reports for applicable programmes. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully review the requirements attached to their chosen course before submitting an application.

The application itself is conducted online through the university’s postgraduate platform. Prospective students can access the OAUSTECH School of Postgraduate Studies portal for programme information and application instructions.

Back story: OAUSTECH strengthens postgraduate education

The latest admission announcement comes as OAUSTECH continues to expand its postgraduate education offering and research activities in Ondo State.

The university has increasingly positioned its postgraduate programmes around science, technology, professional development and research. Its listed programmes include specialised areas that can appeal to graduates seeking additional qualifications for academic, professional or research careers.

That wider range matters because postgraduate education in Nigeria is becoming an increasingly important step for people seeking career progression, specialised expertise or a path into research and teaching. A postgraduate qualification can also help professionals reposition themselves when their undergraduate degree no longer fully matches the direction of their careers.

OAUSTECH’s postgraduate structure includes full-time programmes with different durations depending on the qualification. Its published postgraduate information states that full-time PGD programmes have a minimum duration of two semesters, while M.Sc. programmes generally require at least three semesters and PhD programmes at least six semesters.

With applications now open for the 2026/2027 academic session, prospective students have the opportunity to review their preferred programmes, prepare their academic documents and complete the application process through the official university platform.

Candidates should rely on OAUSTECH’s official postgraduate website for the latest requirements, programme-specific instructions and any subsequent updates to the admission exercise.
