Nigerian content creator Officer Woos has dismissed claims that he announced the death of his colleague, Broda Shaggi.
The controversy started after an X user, @Ghost91on, falsely claimed that Officer Woos had confirmed Broda Shaggi’s death via his Instagram page, sharing a post that quickly gained attention online.
Reacting to the rumour, Officer Woos reposted a screenshot of the claim on his Instagram story and labeled it “false.”
In a statement released by his legal representatives, Versed Attorneys, the content creator denied ever making such an announcement, describing the reports as fabricated and malicious.
The legal team stated that the false publication was aimed at misleading the public and damaging his reputation, stressing that he had never announced the death of any friend, colleague, or associate on any of his social media platforms.
Officer Woos also warned that legal action may be taken against those responsible for spreading the false information.
The speculation about Broda Shaggi’s death surfaced months after reports emerged that he was shot while filming at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026. Since that incident, the comedian has remained silent publicly on the matter.
