OSOM Products, a phone startup emerging from Essential, is shutting down on September 6 due to lack of mobile phone customers. Despite launching the OSOM Privacy Cable and a web3 device with Solana, the company faced legal issues and failed to secure new funding or sell to HP. CEO Jason Keats cited a challenging market for consumer electronics startups and the need to pivot to new projects as reasons for the closure.
