Chaos in Abuja: Plane Skids Off Runway, Airport Shut Down
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja has been temporarily shut, this is because a cargo plane operated by the Allied Air overshot the runway, luckly no body sustained any serious injuries.
The cargo plan was reported to have experienced a tyre burst after the aircraft landed at the Abuja international Airport on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024.
The cargo plane is stuck near the runway after skidding off, forcing the airport to be shut down for now. A source at the NAIA, said “We are still at the air side at the moment where the incident happened and efforts are ongoing to reopen the runway.”
This has caused some many delay flights while some are been cancelled.
