Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead attorney for the banned Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), has strongly denounced the murder of around 19 innocent Nigerians by gunmen in the Ogboji community in the Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to the reports, at least 19 individuals were killed after unidentified attackers broke into the village on Monday night while some Ebonyi State residents were holding meetings.

It was discovered that the attack was the result of a dispute within the group, even though the police had started an inquiry to determine the exact circumstances of the occurrence. The gunmen had allegedly asked for the minutes of the meeting before to the shooting.
In response, Ejiofor said in a statement released on Tuesday that the victims were brutally killed and described the incident as a senseless and cold-blooded atrocity.
He urged the Anambra State government to make sure the murderers are apprehended and face the appropriate charges.

Similarly, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has expressed his profound shock and dismay over the incident.
In addition to being barbarous, Nwifuru said, the mindless act of violence against law-abiding civilians was a direct attack on peace, unity, and the sanctity of human life.
The governor claimed that it was intolerable that a group of Ebonyi people would be shot at close range for peacefully attending a meeting, ignoring logic and reason.

This was stated in a statement that was made accessible to reporters in Abakalili late on Tuesday night by Dr. Monday Uzor, the governor’s chief press secretary.
According to the statement, Governor Nwifuru had contacted Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State and his brother, and asked for a prompt, exhaustive, and open investigation into the terrible event.
