Paris 2024: Oborududu Aims for Bronze After Semifinal Loss.

Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu Falls in Semis, Eyes Bronze

After a tough 3-1 semifinal loss to Kyrgyzstan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova, Blessing Oborududu will now aim for a bronze medal in the women’s 68kg wrestling category at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Despite leading 1-0 early on, the 2020 silver medalist couldn’t maintain her advantage after a head collision affected her performance. She previously defeated Canada’s Linda Morais and France’s Koumba Larroque to reach the semifinals. Oborududu remains hopeful of bringing home a bronze for Nigeria.
