Emmanuel Ogidi, the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South, has voiced optimism that the party will emerge from its ongoing internal reforms stronger and more cohesive.
In an interview with Arise News, Ogidi stated that before to the upcoming national convention in Ibadan, the party leadership is committed to resolving internal issues and restoring member trust.
He stated that the PDP is still a powerful and well-run political organisation and expressed hope that the party will overcome its current difficulties if its members remained loyal, disciplined, and united.

He did, however, issue a warning to members who were undermining the party’s interests, stating that their activities amounted to betraying the group’s efforts to rebuild and position the PDP for victory in the general elections of 2027.
“Anyone working against the progress of the party is betraying our shared mission to reposition the PDP for victory,” he said.
“Those who have been very good, who have supported this party before this time, with what they are doing now, they can never be remembered for those good things anymore. They would be remembered as people who are trying to frustrate efforts.
“As for those who were doing bad and they changed, and now doing good, they will be remembered as good.
“But very soon you will be shocked. But I am pleading with Nigerians to be patient with us and we know they are and we ard not taking it for granted. We are coming with the big stick,” he said.

Ogidi went on to say that anyone attempting to impede the party’s advancement or cause disturbances during the convention will face harsh consequences.
He reassured members and supporters that the PDP is still committed to its goal of regaining power and providing Nigerians with decent governance.
