Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, who served as Senate Minority Leader in the 9th National Assembly representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Tuesday defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development was confirmed via the party’s official X handle, where it was also stated that Philip Tanimu Aduda pledged to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the FCT ahead of the 2027 elections.
He was formally received into the APC by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside members of the National Working Committee.
The move comes shortly after Philp Tanimu Aduda announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing persistent internal crises within the party as the reason for his exit.
