Nigerian dancer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, will appear at the UK’s Snaresbrook Crown Court on February 8, 2027, for a plea hearing.
The court has postponed his scheduled appearance on Tuesday because the charge sheet was unavailable and set a new date for the hearing.
Poco Lee was initially scheduled to appear in court on September 15 for a plea and trial preparation hearing over the charges against him.
However, he did not enter a plea because the court did not have the charge sheet.
Nigerians reportedly flocked to the courtroom to follow the proceedings, despite the dancer’s absence. Some spectators were also captured waiting outside the courtroom.
The court has scheduled the plea hearing for February 8, 2027, while the trial will begin on March 8, 2027. The dancer previously secured bail on September 11.
Poco Lee faces two counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration and one count of attempted rape.
Authorities previously arrested the dancer in the UK over the allegations and remanded him in custody.
The dancer has continued to maintain that he is innocent regarding the alleged sexual offences. During a recent Instagram Live session with social media personality VeryDarkMan, the dancer and entertainer further reiterated this.
He said, “If I did what someone said I did, I would say I am suffering my sins. As I did not do anything, my mind is as pure as anything. No one would want to attach themselves to something like that. And for Burna Boy and Jago to stand for me,” he said.
“I am a jolly good fellow. Even when I did not do anything.”
Additionally, he claimed that music star Burna Boy would not have supported him if he was guilty.
