Socio-political activist Aisha Yesufu has claimed that Reuben Abati, a former presidential spokesperson, played a role in the defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election.
Abati served as Special Adviser to Jonathan on Media from 2011 to 2015.
Jonathan, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost the 2015 election to the late former president Muhammadu Buhari.
In a post on her official X handle on Friday, Aisha alleged that Abati was first among those that led to Goodluck’s failure.
She wrote, “It is people that didn’t know Reuben Abati @abati1990 during Jonathan that are surprised when he does or says certain things!
“If you count people that led to former president Jonathan losing the 2015 election, Reuben Abati is amongst the first to be counted.
“You think Femi Adesina was obnoxious? You didn’t meet Reuben Abati in action.”
