Joining APC will bring South-East closer to the corridors of power- Hope Uzodimma
Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, has stated that the interest of the Southeast is best secured under the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While speaking to party leaders, he encouraged them  to start a membership drive by outlining the benefits of the Tinubu-led APC administration to the people in Enugu.

Speaking at the Southeast APC leaders‘ gathering in Enugu, the region’s capital, Uzodimma pledged to increase the party’s strength before the general election in 2027.

Dozie Ikedife Jr., former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the Minister for Innovation, Science, and Technology Chief Uche Nnaji, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifru, Chief Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and members of the Zonal Executive Committee were among those present.

Uzodimma expressed happiness that the APC’s platform includes the governors of Imo and Ebonyi states, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, members of the National Assembly, ministers, and other high-ranking officials from the Federal Government in the area.

He said, “You must have seen how sitting governors in the other geo-political zones are now joining the APC.

“It is by joining the APC which is in-charge of the government at the center in Nigeria and other sub-national governments that the Southeast will be very close to the corridors of power.

“We have decided to see Southeast as a family, tolerate each other’s shortcomings, work as formidable team, to achieve the desired results.”
