Garba Shehu, former aide and spokesperson of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that the remains of the former president would be buried in his Daura residence in Katsina state.
The presidential aide disclosed to news men that the grave was already being dug at Buhari’s residence in Daura.
According to him, “The body left London by 7:48 am and it is expected after 7 hours. The graveyard is being dug.”
Recall Buhari died on Sunday in a London hospital after battling a prolonged illness.

Following his death, there has been an inflow of condolences from very important figures and the declaration of a public holiday to mourn the late president as well as the announcement of a 9-man funeral committee appointed by President Tinubu .
Meanwhile, it has been reported that a group of women have began a prayer session at the site of the funeral this morning while awaiting the remains of the former president.
In recent years, this is the second time a serving president or recently removed president would be laid to rest.
According to reports, efforts are in place to ensure that the late president is giving the expected honour in his final hours as he is laid to rest. Until his death, the former president remained a devoted member of the APC.
