The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has announced a mop-up CBT examination for candidates who missed their scheduled tests at various centres during the week.
Since July 31, 2025, a total of 52,003 candidates have been participating in the examination across different zonal centres in the state, vying for 4,000 civil service positions declared vacant by the government earlier this year.
In a public notice issued on Friday morning, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Abubakar Maiha, stated that candidates who were unable to take the test at their designated centres will have the opportunity to do so in Yola on Saturday, August 9.
Maiha said the mop-up is scheduled for General Murtala Mohammed College, Yola, at 7:00 a.m.
“All concerned candidates are advised to appear at the venue with their exam slip and a valid means of identification,” Maiha stated.
He warned that the exercise is the final opportunity for all affected candidates to participate in the recruitment process.
The Adamawa State Government had launched the civil service recruitment process in April this year when it announced the 4,000 job openings after Governor Ahmadu Fintiri gave the directive.
The state civil service commission opened an online portal for applicants, giving the applicants April 29 to May 12, 2025, to submit their documents.
A total of 96,102 people applied, from whom 52,003 were selected for the CBT test after initial screening.
