196 professors from Southern Kaduna and members of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State on Sunday praised President Bola Tinubu’s government, pointing to notable advancements in governance and development, which increase his chances of winning reelection in 2027.
Under the auspices of the Central Progressives Initiative, the APC central senatorial district in Cross River State’s Ikom Local Government Area unanimously supported President Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu for a second term in office during a high-profile stakeholders’ gathering.
Senator Eteng Williams, who moved the motion for endorsement, said, “The applause and support Governor Otu receives are not just expressions of satisfaction but a clear message for him to continue delivering good governance. There is no credible challenger from our region.”
Ebri, who chaired the meeting, called for a voice vote on the resolution, which the leaders and stakeholders overwhelmingly approved.
Minister Owan-Enoh stated, “There is no vacancy in 2027. The reward for hard work is more work,” affirming the central district’s support for both Tinubu and Otu.

In a similar demonstration of loyalty, 196 professors from Southern Kaduna, united under the auspices of the Forum of Southern Kaduna Professors, expressed gratitude for the regional development initiatives started by the federal and state governments.
During a press briefing in Kaduna, Prof. John Laah, the forum’s chairman, commended President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for bringing about major change in Southern Kaduna by establishing important institutions.
“These include the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia; Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan; Military Command Centre, Samaru Kataf; Command Secondary School, Zango Kataf; and Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition City, Samaru Kataf,” Laah said.
