Datti Baba-Ahmed, the 2023 Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has called for former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to be questioned over his claim that the Federal Government is paying bandits.

He made the statement on Tuesday while speaking as a guest on Politics Today, a programme aired on Channels Television.
Baba-Ahmed also rejected the response issued by the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, dismissing it as inadequate in addressing El-Rufai’s serious allegation.
“If the so-called office of the National Security Adviser, NSA, would take this statement with levity, then Nuhu Ribadu was never a policeman; he is not a qualified lawyer; he should not be in that office,” Datti Baba-Ahmed said.
According to him, El-Rufai should be writing statements to the police and to the courts.
Recalls that El-Rufai had alleged that the Federal Government and Kaduna State were paying a monthly allowance to bandits and sending food to them in the name of non-kinetic measures.
Datti Baba-Ahmed described the move as a “kiss-the-bandits” policy.
