Dele Momodu explains how one aspirant donated $30,000 to each delegate during the 2022 PDP primary.

Dele Momodu, the founder of Ovation Magazine, has revealed that an aspirant donated $30,000 to each of the 774 delegates in the 2022 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary.

Speaking on the Key to Keys podcast, Momodu expressed sorrow for spending roughly N50 million to purchase the PDP presidential nomination form, calling the primary as heavily monetized.

Additionally, he declared that until he was accepted as a consensus candidate, he would not run for president on any party’s ticket.
“No, experience is the best teacher,” he remarked, adding, “and I’ve realized that Nigeria is ruled by what you could call principalities.”

“I can think about it unless a significant political party agrees that Dele Momodu is the most qualified candidate to govern and transform Nigeria and chooses to accept me.

However, if I have to choose, I will spend over N100 million to purchase a presidential nomination form; for the most recent one, I paid almost N50 million. This was a waste because I might have gotten a property, and not a single vote was cast for me because

“How do you compete with one of the candidates who paid up to $30,000 per delegate and we had 774 delegates?” “Everything was monetized.” They have taken over the nation and are engaging in a variety of business ventures, particularly in oil-rich regions, in an attempt to profit.

Because it’s difficult and you can’t compete with them, they disrespect Nigerians regardless of the amount of raw cash they have at their disposal. No nation in the world has more people in control of raw money than Nigeria. They cannot be traced because the majority of their money is not in any bank. If you ask certain politicians today if it costs $500 million to become president.
