Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate former governor of Kaduna State, stated that he doesn’t give a damn about what his detractors think of him, particularly those who label him a fundamentalist.
El-Rufai made this claim on Sunday while featuring on an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show.
He claims that those who have such opinions have never worked with him or known him personally.

“I don’t care. The people who think I am a fundamentalist don’t know me; they have never met me; they have formed their opinion.
“It’s the way I am. I am very comfortable with what I am. I don’t care what you think,” he said.
Nasir El-Rufai, further stated he and other opposition leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, have the political capacity to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress(APC), in 2027.

Having been among those who founded the APC, he claimed to understand what is needed to retire the dominant party.
“We formed the APC; we know where the dead body is buried. Some of them, like Atiku, know where the PDP’s dead body is buried.
“Together we can face APC. We don’t need to have totally different people from nowhere to challenge APC,” he said.

El-Rufai lamented that President Tinubu had made the economy and security worse.
Recall that in an effort to depose President Tinubu, El-Rufai, Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, the former governor of Rivers State, and others recently backed the African Democratic Congress as an opposition coalition.
