Governor Bago, of Niger State has extended warm birthday wishes to the 20th Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, as he marks his 69th birthday on August 24, 2025.
In a congratulatory message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described the Sultan as a humble, diligent, and iconic leader who has consistently served as a role model, particularly to the Muslim Ummah.
He also commended the Sultan’s unwavering dedication to the propagation of Islam, the promotion of its core values, and his efforts in fostering peaceful coexistence among different religious groups in Nigeria.
Bago maintained that the contributions of the celebrant to nation-building and religious harmony are immense and commendable.
He enjoined other Muslim leaders and the entire Muslim Ummah to emulate the selflessness and humility of the Sultan, and to sustain their support for him in his leadership.
The governor prayed for more blessed years for the celebrant, while wishing him continued good health, wisdom, and Allah’s guidance.
