Governor Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has finally made it to the state capital, Port Harcourt, after being reinstated by President Bola Tinubu.
Governor Fubara touched down the Port Harcourt International Airport about 11:50 a.m. on Friday with supporters of the governor were on the ground to welcome him.

This comes more than twenty-four hours after Tinubu lifted the state’s six-month emergency rule.
Hours after President Bola Tinubu announced the expiration of the state’s emergency rule, Fubara had not yet returned to his government house office.
Recall that Hundreds of Fubara’s supporters had gathered at the government building in hopes of his return, however after waiting until 2pm, they were forced to disperse as there was no hope of the governor showing up.
There had also been growing concerns over Fubara’s absence with Speculations and information from inside sources had revealed that the governor was absent during Thursday’s handover because there were still ongoing conversations between Governor Fubara and Wike around who should be on the commissioners list
In more recent development, supporters and Governor Fubara loyalists have expressed joy and celebration as they poured out in their numbers to celebrate the governors return to the state to resume office.
