Governor Siminalayi Fubara has stated that he is not afraid of anything as the worst that can happen is for him to leave office.
This is coming after the supreme court ordered the Accountant General of the Central bank of Nigeria to stop releasing funds to the Rivers State government.
Governor Siminalayi stated this in a video that has now circulated social during the inauguration of the Rivers State government house staff quarters in Port Harcourt on Monday March 3rd, 2025.

He assured residents that his administration is focused on the welfare and advancement of the state.
He added that his government will not overlook reported hate crimes in the state. Governor Siminalayi in his statement emphasized that he has never promoted hostlity or encouraged others to engage illegal activity.

In his words: “it is not about who wins , it’s about the glory and honour of fighting gallantly, being on the side of truth and not on the side of lies because of cheap favours. I want to assure you, all our supporters.
We musts continue to tell the world that against what is being said that there is not governance, that there is legitimate , purpose driven governance in Rivers State.
No matter how we have been fooled in this state, it has gotten to a point where the state has decided to take their destiny by the hands.
In as much as I don’t subscribe to violence, when the time comes for us to take a decision, I would lead the course for that decision.”
