PDP 99 NEC meeting in session as scheduled after postponement

The PDP 99th NEC meeting which was set for 2:00 p.m. at Legacy House, the party’s presidential campaign office in Abuja’s Maitama District is currently ongoing, according to reports.

Reports also revealed that the meeting was originally scheduled to hold at Wadata Plaza in Abuja, the party’s national HQ.

However, since the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) under Wike’s leadership sealed off the national secretariat because of 28 years of unpaid grand rent, the NEC  meeting was moved to Legacy House.

Recall that there had been multiple postponements of the NEC meeting.

The NEC which is one of the PDP’s highest decision-making bodies,  is made up of the national chairman and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC). Other members of the NEC include principal officers of the National Assembly, state chairpersons, former governors, founding members, the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT), state governors, and current and former presidents and vice-presidents.

More details regarding the proceedings of the NEC meeting will be reported shortly. As at the time of report, members of the council were reported to have been arriving at the scheduled venue.
