Omoyele Sowore, a popular Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing security problem around the country.
Speaking in response to a widely shared video of a recent terrorist incident, Sowore criticised Tinubu’s administration as ineffectual and warned that if the situation is allowed to worsen, more areas of the nation could come under terrorist control.
According to him, the country now has no leadership direction to end the security difficulties.
Taking to his social media account, he wrote, “Nigeria’s security situation has massively deteriorated under the ineffective and corrupt regime of @officialABAT, making it conceivable that more sizable portions of Nigeria may fall under terrorist control, as witnessed in Syria.

Parts of Nigeria at risk of terrorist control, Sowore blasts against Tinubu govt
“The country -Nigeria-is without leadership direction at present. #RevolutionNow”.
Meanwhile, Sowore has stated that Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, cannot be considered the opposition. Speaking on Channels Television, he maintained that Obi has not demonstrated any opposition to the ruling party.
Ahead of the general elections in 2027, Sowore rejected claims that Obi would continue to be the most conspicuous representative of the opposition. He also reaffirmed his long-standing skepticism regarding the political intentions and influence of the former governor of Anambra State.
