Former All Progressives Congress (APC) leader El-Rufai, who is currently a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stated that anyone who held a viewpoint contrary from his was not aware of the current struggles Nigeria.
According to the former governor, Nigerians no longer trust President Tinubu or the ruling APC. In the following general election, he implied that they would be prepared to vote against Tinubu and the APC.

El-Rufai said in an interview on Thursday, June 19, that anyone who believed President Tinubu would be re-elected in 2027 was not in Nigeria, according to The Punch. He emphasised that President Tinubu will not have a path in the upcoming election.
The former governor also stated that because Nigerians are dissatisfied with President Tinubu and the APC’s policies, the weakest opposition might beat the president in the upcoming general election.
He said, “Anybody that thinks it is possible for President Bola Tinubu to get re-elected is living in another country, not Nigeria. It is impossible for Bola Tinubu to get re-elected.”

His comment came following Tinubu’s Tinubu’s remark during visit to Kaduna state, where he praised the incumbent governor, Uba Sani, for bringing peace back to the state, further describing El-Rufai’s administration as “previous toxic, uncontrollable environment.”
