Sanwo-Olu Launches New Dialogue Channels with Protesters.
The Lagos State Government has expressed gratitude to protesters in Lagos for their peaceful resolution of demonstrations following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent address. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the protest leaders’ decision to end the protests as a positive reflection of their effective engagement with the government.
In response, Governor Sanwo-Olu has mandated that the state’s dialogue with the youth and other stakeholders continue. The government will maintain open channels of communication through several dedicated lines, including:

He emphasized the importance of vigilance against misinformation and divisive tactics and commended the peaceful conduct of Lagosians and the professionalism of security agencies, including the Police Command, Department of State Services, the military, Civil Defence, and Neighborhood Watch.
The Governor also recognized the contributions of traditional rulers, civil society organizations, community leaders, religious leaders, and student leaders in maintaining peace in Lagos. He encouraged residents to return to their daily activities without fear, assuring them of ongoing support and engagement from the government.
