Wike, who recently stated that he was open to reconciliation, had asked Fubara to meet with other state stakeholders who felt wronged in order to reach a compromise.

In more recent development, President Tinubu held a closed door meeting with Wike, Fubara and other lawmakers in the Aso villa on Thursday. This has resulted in wide spread speculations of peace and possible reinstatement of the suspended governor.
