Rivers: 12 PDP governors to contest Fubara’s suspension in court- Seyi Makinde

    The Oyo state Governor, Governor Seyi Makinde has revealed that the 12 governors elected under the PDP, would join forces to challenge President Tinubu in court over Fubara’s suspension.

    Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed this information in his monthly news letter stressing that the PDP elected state governors will not act like by standers and watch the democracy they have built be destroyed.

    Governor Seyi Makinde emphasized that the principles of democracy must be upheld, in spite of personal feelings or loyalty. He stressed that now is the crucial moment to advocate for fairness, equity, and justice. He also commended the leading opposition party governors for taking a stand.

    A part of the news letter reads:

    “The PDP Governors’ Forum rose from an emergency meeting where we unanimously decided to challenge the actions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a court of competent jurisdiction.”

    Recall that the PDP governors forum had rejected the suspension and emergency rule declaration in the state, calling for a an immediate reversal and urging President Tinubu to admit that he made a mistake.
