Why Ganduje resigned as APC National Chairman
New details have surfaced regarding the possible reasons behind Abdullahi Ganduje’s resignation as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on Friday.

Insiders at the party’s national secretariat told a correspondent as early as 3 p.m. on Friday that the former national leader was threatening to step down due to a deal that Kwankwaso and President Bola Tinubu had made for the latter to join the party.

“We are currently pleading with him not to resign. He is upset that Kwankwaso is coming to the APC. I think the two of them are sworn enemies. All the stakeholders are begging him to stay,” the source said.

However, it was later confirmed that the APC National chairman had resigned despite pleas to remain .

Ganduje served as Kwankwaso’s deputy during his second tenure as governor, which he held from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2011 to 2015.

But soon after Ganduje took office as governor in 2015 under the APC, their friendship went south and the two have turned into bitter enemies who often fight for control of Kano’s political power and organisation.
