The African Democratic Congress, or ADC, has stated that, in light of the increased level of insecurity in Zamfara State, it has no interest in President Bola Tinubu resignation.
Tinubu should fulfil his responsibility to safeguard the lives and property of the residents of Zamfara State and the nation as a whole, according to ADC.

Responding to news of bandits taxing farmers N56 million in the State communities, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi made the request while denouncing Tinubu’s government.
In a statement he signed, Abdullahi claimed that since Tinubu took power, the insecurity issue, which he used as a campaign tactic, had grown significantly.
The Nigerian government was urged by Abdullahi to step in and bring peace back to Zamfara State.

He said: “No one is calling on him to resign. The ADC does not want President Tinubu to resign.
“We only ask him to do his job. We also ask the pertinent question, why did the President think that the security situation in Rivers State warranted the declaration of state of emergency, but the one in Zamfara with industrial scale kidnapping and a direct challenge to the authority of the Nigerian State by way of bandit tax does not even deserve a direct comment from him?

“We will like to urge President Tinubu to drop whatever else that pre-occupies him and direct his attention to Zamfara State and other parts of the country menaced by bandits.”
