President Tinubu on Saturday made his first ever official visit to Plateau State for the first time as president of Nigeria.
President Tinubu landed at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, the former Senate President, Caleb Muftwang, the Governor of Plateau State, and others were all on site to offer a presidential welcome to President Tinubu.
He will later address Church Leaders across the North at the headquarters of the COCIN Church in Jos.

Prior to the President’s arrival for the burial, the Plateau State Government had previously scheduled traffic detours in Jos and Bukuru.
Joyce Lohya Ramnap, Commissioner for Information and Communication, stated in a statement on Friday that the detour was necessary to facilitate the presidential convoy’s easy passage.

Women’s groups, youth groups, and other party supporters can be spotted in the streets dressed party T-shirts, face caps, and other accessories. The Boys’ Brigade were also present, leading a street march with the support of the band section.
