Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed openness to discussions about potential political alliances.

He stated that him and his supporters are ready to engage in dialogue with any group willing to collaborate.
The former governor of Kano State made these comments while denying rumors of ongoing negotiations with other political parties in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso said there is no need for haste in political decisions.
He noted that members of the NNPP are content where they are.
According to Rabiu Kwankwaso: “Our members are not in a hurry; everything we do is carefully considered.
“The NNPP is not in discussions with any political party at the moment for the purpose of forming an alliance, but that does not rule out future engagements.
“We are politicians, and we are always open to dialogue with anyone willing to engage with us”.

There are reports that President Bola Tinubu was wooing Kwankwaso to join the All Progressives Congress ahead of 2027.
Recently, the former Kano State governor had visited the Presidential Villa but snubbed journalists after the meeting.
Claims are rife that Tinubu plans to name Rabiu Kwankwaso a Minister in return for joining the APC.
There are also speculations of a possible alliance talk with the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
