Bandits on Monday afternoon attacked the Chediya community in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing several people, abducting many others, and burning houses.

During the attack, the assailants also looted homes, stole livestock, and set several houses on fire, leaving the community in fear and devastation.

Security analyst Bakatsine, who shared details of the incident in a post on X, said the invasion occurred less than 24 hours after a similar attack in the Kucheri community, also in Zamfara.

“This afternoon, bandits invaded Chediya community in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State. They killed people, abducted many, looted houses, rustled livestock and set some houses ablaze during the in2vasion.
This is coming less than 24hrs after Kucheri attack,” Bakatsine wrote.

As of the time of this report, authorities are yet to release an official statement or confirm the number of casualties.
