Emotional Revelation: Burna Boy Opens Up on His Spiritual Struggles, Says He Converted from Christianity to Islam in Search of Truth

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his struggles with religion, admitting that he still feels unfulfilled despite converting from Christianity to Islam in search of enlightenment.

In a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, Burna Boy shared that the more he studies religious texts in an effort to find deeper meaning, the more uncertain he becomes.

“Growing up, I was a Christian and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to find out what is really going on, you know? The more I research, the more confused I get,” he said.

The singer further revealed that his spiritual journey is ongoing, as he continues to search for personal truth and understanding.

Similarly, a few months ago, another Nigerian artist, 9ice, spoke about his own spiritual experience, disclosing that he embraced the Ifa religion after suffering a “spiritual attack” that left him bedridden for six months.
