Nigerian Afro-house singer Niniola Apata has announced the death of her husband, Michael Ndika.
The Grammy-nominated artiste shared the heartbreaking news through a series of emotional posts on her Instagram story in the early hours of Wednesday.
Ndika, who served as the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform focused on Afro-house and contemporary African music, was reported to have passed away, although details surrounding his death have not been made public.

In one of her posts, Niniola simply wrote, “God took him.” In another, she stated, “My husband died.”
Niniola further expressed her grief in another message, saying, “God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years,” alongside photos of the couple.
Niniola has not shared additional details about the circumstances of his passing, maintaining a private approach to her personal life.
Niniola, 39, first gained national recognition after participating in Project Fame West Africa in 2013, a platform that marked the beginning of her music career.
Since then, she has become one of Nigeria’s leading Afro-house artistes, with her 2017 hit song “Maradona” gaining international acclaim and attracting attention from global music stars including DJ Snake, Drake, Timbaland, and Beyoncé.
