This development comes just a week after ASUBEB announced its intention to engage security personnel aged between 20 and 65 to help safeguard schoolchildren and protect school facilities from encroachment and vandalism.

In a new statement released on Friday, ASUBEB explained that the suspension is due to ongoing technical and administrative adjustments.

The statement, signed by Dr. Uzomaka Amah-Mbah, Secretary of the Board, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, included an apology to applicants and stakeholders for any inconvenience caused by the delay. It also assured that updated guidelines will be provided once the necessary adjustments are completed.

No new date has been announced for the continuation of the recruitment exercise.
