Speaking at a victory event in Nanka on Sunday, Soludo declared that the results clearly showed that the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are “dead” and “non-existent” in Anambra’s political landscape.

The celebration was held to mark the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Soludo’s party, which emerged victorious in the by-elections.

Chukwuma Soludo also mocked Obi, who supported ADC candidates in the polls, insisting the party does not exist in Anambra.

“ADC does not exist in Anambra. We showed it yesterday, Saturday. Labour Party is dead,” Chukwuma Soludo said.

According to him, the ADC opposition coalition had sought to use the by-election in Anambra to test its popularity, but “the people spoke overwhelmingly with over 75%.”

He added: “APGA is our movement.”

It was reported that Obi, a member of the Labour Party, had aligned with the ADC coalition seeking to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
