Kwara Massacre: Bandit Leader Behind Deadly Killings Finally Identified

The bandit leader responsible for the murders in Woro, a secluded town in Kwara State’s Kaiama Local Government Area, has been identified as Abubakar Saidu, also known as Sadiku.

According to sources on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, a horrific attack claimed the lives of an estimated 176 inhabitants.

In 2014, Sadiku was a handpicked subordinate of the late Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, according to The Punch. After twelve years of development, security analysts now refer to him as the “Shekau of the North-Central”.
