Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested over allegations of cyberbullying, with her colleague Mercy Johnson reportedly involved in the matter.

According to reports, Okorie was taken into custody at her Lagos residence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, by operatives from the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Center in Abuja.
The disclosure was made on Wednesday by journalist and BON Awards founder, Seun Oloketuyi.
While explaining that Angela spent the night at Yaba, Panti police station before being transported to Abuja very early on Wednesday, Oloketuyi wrote on his Instagram page: “Angela Okorie was arrested yesterday at her Lagos residence by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja.
“She was put on 6am flight to Abuja this morning to face court proceedings connected to cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson.”
The development came exactly a week after Mercy Johnson announced that cyber bullying her and her family won’t be business as usual in 2026.
