As the founder of the Chess in Slums, he revealed in a post on X that he turned down the offer not because it was entirely wrong but because it did not align with his core values and wisdom.<\/p>\n

Describing it as a difficult choice, Onakoya emphasized the importance of prioritizing integrity over financial gain.<\/p>\n

The 30 year old stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cI recently turned down life changing money. Not because it was exactly wrong, but it did not align with my values or the vision of who I\u2019m becoming.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201d It was not an easy decision. I wrestled, and tried to justify saying yes, but in the end, integrity is the real wealth. I feel liberated by my decision. I can do anything now.<\/em><\/p>\n
