Abuja School to Pay N100m for Child\u2019s Death<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Justice Sylvanus Oriji delivered a judgment in a suit brought by Mr. Ifeanyi Ikpeatusim, who alleged that the school had been negligent, which resulted in the death of his 9-year-old daughter, Kamzie.<\/p>\n<p>In the suit marked CV\/1738\/18, Ikpeatusim claimed that the school&#8217;s negligence in failing to provide adequate medical care once Kamzie fell ill shortly after admission and resumption in the school resulted in her subsequent death.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/GxfCtlAzWSMAtz92Gn6fws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Join the WhatsAPP community<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kamzie, having been admitted as a boarding student, became very ill by October 2, 2017, a few days prior to which she died.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Sylvanus Oriji, while delivering judgment in the suit at the court, after awarding the N100 million cost, ordered that 10 percent interest on the judgment sum will run from April 8 until full payment.<\/p>\n<p>He also awarded an additional N300,000 as costs of the suit.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Oriji observed during the pronouncement of the judgment that the school had indeed, through its agents, acted negligently in failing to respond to Kamzie&#8217;s medical needs timely and adequately.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20661\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20661\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20661\" src=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219.avif\" alt=\"justice\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219.avif 960w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-300x300.avif 300w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-150x150.avif 150w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-768x768.avif 768w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-420x420.avif 420w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-640x640.avif 640w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/D2_1744185219-681x681.avif 681w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20661\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Justice! Abuja School to Pay N100m for Child\u2019s Death<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe claimant established his allegations of negligence against the school.
