In a widely shared video, the former presidential adviser made the statement that no one can win the presidency of Nigeria without the North’s backing.<\/p>\n

Baba-Ahmed said: \u201cIn the next six months, the North will decide where it stands. If the rest of the country wants to join us, fine. If not, we will go our own way.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing is clear, nobody can become President of Nigeria without northern support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He bemoaned the state of the nation and called on northerners to resist divisive and deceptive politicians ahead of the next general elections.<\/p>\n

Baba-Ahmed further lamented over the Boko Haram insurgency’s severe toll on the North, which impacted Christians, Muslims, Fulani, Baju, and others, emphasizing the necessity of unity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want a government that understands our problems and can address them. After Buhari\u2019s eight years, we became wiser. Now, we are in another government, and we are still crying. Is crying all we know how to do?\u201d<\/p>\n
