The Governor of Benue state, Hyacinth Alia is optimistic that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit today will put an end to the killings going on in the state.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Additionally, there are hopes that the gladiators’ political disagreements will be settled following Tinubu’s visit.<\/p>\n

Governor Hyacinth Alia\u00a0 yesterday stated that Tinubu’s visit<\/a> is an expression of his complete support for the state and its leadership. However\u00a0 of the much anticipated visit was not stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the deployment of all the arsenal in personnel and equipment in Benue, we are hopeful that everything being done will translate to an end to attacks and killings not only in Benue but in other parts of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe visit is also a signal to the people that the President is with their governors, fully supportive of the efforts to end the carnage,\u201d Alia said.<\/p>\n
